Pool is a family cue sport..also formally known as pool billiards..games played on a pool table having six receptacles called pockets along the rails,into which balls are deposited as the main goal of the play.An obsolete term for pool is six pocket.
There are hundred of pool games ..some of the more well known are eight-ball(variant black ball),nine-ball(with variant ten-ball and seven-ball),straight pool,onepocket and bank pool.

HOW IT IS PLAYED
The "break" happens at the beginning of the game when a player breaks up the fifteen pool
balls. It is the first shot.
A scratch occurs when the cue ball jumps off the table or rolls into a pocket.
Determine the scratch rules before you start any game.
